Anna's story
June 21st, 2021, the summer solstice and a first for us at Suncoast Weddings. We helped Anna, aka the bounce-back bride, celebrate with her friends in a female empowerment ceremony. After inviting 80 guests, saying yes to the dress, and planning every detail, Anna's fiancé jilted her three weeks before the big day. After posting to TikTok and going viral, Anna celebrated with her girlfriends after she "decided there and then that I wasn’t going to just lay down and let this defeat me. I was going to lift my head up high and carry on- with or without the groom. I felt empowered ... I’m going to try and recreate everything we had planned for the wedding and it will be a full-on weekend... the highlight will be the empowerment ceremony on the beach"

Each ceremony is personalized so please call or click to discuss ideas. The ceremony pictured is a circle of fresh rose petals with tikis and fabric. There was also a steel drum player to lift everyone's spirits and a tent reception with a toast, a buffet, and a cake. One way to include friends and make them a part of the ceremony is to give them each a long-stemmed tropical flower and then collect them into a unique bouquet as each is greeted in turn.
